The Falling Salary

I was thinking today that salaries in the past decade really haven’t changed much.  I mean, if you go back to 1980’s wages, the salaries that a 50 something year old worker of today are more than the 50 something year old worker of 1980 or even of course 1990.  However,  the money that I and others that I know in my age bracket make  is quite a bit less than a 50 year old of today.  Now, with the lousy little $2000 raises we get each year, it will take us until we are 50 or older to get to the same salary level of a 50 year old of today.  See what I am getting at?  Our salaries have been frozen over the past 7 or 8 years by the corporate slave masters of America.

So what does that mean?  I think it is no wonder why the American dollar is weakening as opposed to other foreign currencies such as the Euro.   I mean, if other currencies keep getting stronger, and our wages keep staying the same over the years here in America, then our purchasing power here in America is going to become so weak compared to other nations that we are guaranteed to lose our position as a super power and become a 3rd world country similar to Mexico.  It looks very clearly to me that the world recognized currency for trading will eventually be the Euro.  At that point, it’s all over with for us.  Our only answer to that will either be war, or a North American Union with a new currency called the “Amero”.

I’ve noticed a huge change that occurred 7 or 8 years ago with the way corporations treated employees.  I’m wondering if it really isn’t just a war against America to reduce the currency value rather than an obscene cost cutting campaign to keep the stockholder happy.  Just seems a little too strange.  And it all began with the engineered bubble burst of the stock market in 2000.  It didn’t have to happen.  Something just doesn’t seem right with the way corporations treat people these days.  It will not work out in the long run.  It just won’t.  There will be a backlash one of these days.  The American people can’t keep letting the corporate elites roll over them like they have been.  Like I said, corporations act like you should be down on your knees thanking them for a job.  They should be thanking you for all of your time you trade for dollars in their interest.  Then you have to turn around and spend your dollars to buy crap that is produced by other corporations that share the same directorship that the company you work for has.  Recycling your dollars.  Heck, they might as well just recycle you since each of us is expendable now.  Have a nice day.
