America Post-Meltdown
So what would happen if the dollar became worthless? If there was an economic crash in America tomorrow, all paper money and credit within the United States would become worthless. Some people actually refuse or even comprehend how that could be. They seem to think that we could still maintain a domestic economy somehow. Not that it would be impossible for a local economy to emerge, but extremely difficult. What would put us under is gasoline. Remember that the oil that we buy is bought with petrodollars. If those petrodollars became worthless, then gas would no longer be $3 per gallon. It would be more like $1,000,000+ per gallon. Basically, no one could buy anymore gas. Once that happens, the entire structure of each and every city in America would come to a halt.
At that point, eventually no one would be able to drive anywhere. Places of business would shut down immediately because no one would be there to work. Grocery stores would shut down for the same reason and then very quickly be looted. Chaos and disorder within each city would develop to the point where it would be unsafe to go anywhere. There would be no police. Their cars need gas too and people won’t work for free anyways.
That is just one short scenario that would most likely occur. But it wouldn’t go on for very long. This would be a prime opportunity for a police state to emerge. If there was absolute chaos and disorder, people would be begging for order and safety within the cities. At that point, the executive order signed in by George Bush last year would be implemented for marshal law. The president would have absolute control over everything essentially making him a dictator. A police and military would be deployed within every city to restore order. This military would consist mainly of U.N. troops, U.S. military, Canadian and Mexican military, and other foreign military. Concentration camps would be formed to provide a place to sleep, food to eat, and water to drink. So in order for each of us to survive, we would have no choice but to be escorted by the military to the nearest camp. Meanwhile, our former government would be reorganizing itself into a dictatorship. Large screens, or TV’s would be deployed so we could watch our new leaders on TV inform us of all the efforts they are making to “save” America. We would be told that they have a “new deal” for us and that they need to reorganize. We would remain in camps until the reorganization was completed. This might require for us to live in concentration camps for years until all cities and the properties within it have been seized and become state owned. They would be bulldozed. Government housing would be built by able bodies of the concentration camps. Once completed, all survivors of every camp becomes a new citizen of the new communist controlled country. Government housing for everyone and jobs for everyone that all pay the exact same. A new currency would be introduced to us. The currency would be common between Canada, America, and Mexico. It would be called the Amero.
The short non-fictional story above would be reality if our currency was ever to fail. It probably wouldn’t play out exactly as outlined above, but it would still create a dire chaotic situation. This goes to show us how vulnerable we really are. We are so dependent on oil and the value of our paper monopoly currency within the world, that our infrastructure would just dissolve if those things were to go away. The best thing that could happen if our government was actually on our side would be to deploy oil reserves and immediately begin drilling for oil anywhere we can. That way we could hope to re-establish a domestic economy that is functional enough to restore our credit around the world and once again attract international investors to fuel our economy.
When it comes to politics, nothing happens by accident anymore. If our economy was ever to fail, it was because the factors involved were engineered to make it possible. We would be at the mercy of whomever is in power at the time. I seriously doubt that the officials in power now would do what is within our best interest. They already have been doing things for decades that have led us up to the situation where we are at now. We are up near the edge. The possibility of an economic collapse is becoming more real than ever before. History definitely could be made. However, my hope is for all of this talk to be nonsense. I hope that there are things that turn us around in the near future restoring capitalism and the true free market economy within America. This would retain our dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and we would retain our position as a world super power. The unfortunate reality is that having people run across our borders every day to live off of our tax system, having contracts given away to corporations in other countries by our own government, writing blank checks for pointless causes such as AIDS in Africa and other foreign aid scams with money we don’t have, allowing for our constitution to be attacked and re-interpreted, demoralizing the general public with movies and TV programs that attempt to brainwash people into thinking that lifestyles that are damaging to the economy and the country are normal, and allowing the mainstream media to choose our government leaders is a sure fast track to ensure that America will only be read about in history books one day. It will become the Lost City of America that kids will be reading about in books wondering if a country that great with true freedom ever actually existed.
