McDonalds Putting Starbucks out of Business?

drink5.gif   Is it true that McDonalds coffee could be the downfall of Starbucks? This just might be a possibility. At first when I heard about McDonalds getting into the “coffee cafe” biz, I laughed and thought of course that it wouldn’t last. Just like the days in the early 90’s when McDonalds tried selling pizza. I figured their coffee and lattes would just be cheap nasty sugary drinks similar to what you would get at 7Eleven. Come to find out, people are “lovin’ it”. Apparently, people are buying the McDonalds coffee and Starbuck’s business isn’t doing so well. As for myself, I have yet to try the coffee at McDonalds. I won’t do so until I find out for sure exactly what ingredients are in it.

This supports my theory that I mentioned in one of my articles many moons ago that the golden arch flag will one day be our new national symbol. I know a guy that volunteered to join a trash pick-up to help clean some of the trash and waste around a particular community he lived near. He claimed that they had about 120 trash bags all full of trash, and 80% of it was McDonalds trash. So it is obvious that the general public eats the heck out of McDonalds.

My days of eating McDonalds were over years ago. I no longer eat it myself because I am health conscious. But I do have an idea that would save McDonalds mult-millions more per year. My cost savings idea would be to eliminate those nasty cheap gross pickles from their hamburgers. Back in the day when I ate hamburgers from McDonalds, I of course always picked those gross pickles off as did everyone else I knew. So out of all the hamburgers and cheeseburgers those people sell every year, if they could eliminate the pickles, then they’d boost their stock even further.

So who knows. Maybe one day the entire world will be controlled by Walmart and McDonalds. We will either have a flag with an upside down arch, or one with a golden arch. Walmart could run the world if they did two things: get into the banking business, and get into the package delivery service bringing down UPS and FedEx. They could use McDonalds as a huge source of capital to fund these things if they could partner up together. One day each of us could have a Walmart bank account or a McDonalds bank account. Instead of getting paid interest on your money, you could get paid in gift certificates for hamburgers with no pickles. Better yet, if McDonalds ever took over the Fed Reserve, they’d print money with a golden arch on it.

Ok, I seriously doubt any of that would ever happen. But on the serious side, those two entities do control enough wealth to do some amazing things. I’m just a little surprised I have seen more and more businesses taken over by Walmart or McDonalds.
