The True Message

tn_scaaa30w.gif    Is it possible that after 2000 years, the true message of Jesus Christ might not have ever been understood? Why was he here and what was the true point of all of his teachings and messages? Most people and religious leaders will say that he simply came here to die for our sins. I think he came here not only for that, but to also deliver a key message, that if we truly lived by it, the world would become heaven on earth.

Whether you believe that Jesus was the Messiah or not, there is no doubt that this person existed at one time. One of his teachings was, “A donkey can pass through the eye of a needle easier than a rich man can get into heaven.” During that time, people believe that a Messiah was someone that was going to come to earth and wipe out everyone that was in power and hand power over to the oppressed during that time era. But there might have been more to his messages that could actually save the world. Even to this day, we see war, we see suffering, we see slavery. Yes, that’s right, there is still slavery. The slavery of today is giving 1/3 of your life away to a corporation for the benefit of the few at the top that collect all the wealth generated from your work. Things aren’t much different today than it was in Ancient Rome, it’s just done differently. Instead of working as a slave for nothing, you volunteer to work as a slave in exchange for rectangle pieces of paper with numbers printed on it. This is much easier than whipping people to force them to work. Nevertheless, the older I get, the more I begin to think that money truly is the root of all evil. Is it simply this that Jesus was trying to teach us? That possibly it is human greed that makes the world the way it is, and if we truly lived by his teachings, the world might actually be a heaven on earth?

I think in a very big way, if most humans on this earth truly lived by what he taught, then your life would be just that much more enjoyable. There would probably be no more need for money. Without that need, there would be no more war, no more corruption, no more slavery. It is a nice thought, but we do live in a day and age where we need roofs over our heads, we need food, some of us need medical attention and medication, and some of us might need certain other accommodations that only money can buy.

So I guess if everyone decided to stop exchanging money, then we would all go back to living in the stone age. So maybe this isn’t what Jesus was really trying to teach us. I believe that if what he was really trying to teach us was finally understood, then we would all truly understand him to be the Messiah.

This might sound crazy, but maybe a world wide sacrifice could bring about a second coming and a declaration of heaven on earth. What I mean is this. What God might be waiting for is for a complete end of human greed through sacrifice. In other words, an end to evil because evil is human greed. If everyone on earth were to stand still all at once, the economies of the world would come to a crashing halt. All governments would stop functioning for that moment. All crime would stop for that one moment. At that point, the clouds could part, and the second coming would happen. Jesus came here to deliver the most simple message of all: to love one another as yourself. He was killed for that simple message and it is very odd he would be killed for a simple message such as that. He had followers and he had people that loved to listen to him. This was a threat to the ruling elite of the Roman Empire during that time era. They didn’t want someone to have a huge following. So they gave into greed and had him killed. Until that simple message is finally implemented by every human being on this earth, there will be no second coming. I think that is what life is all about. It is about God sitting back and witnessing the conquering of evil by his own creation (us) that has a free will.
