Capitalism within America
Don’t confuse capitalism with conservatism. While one aspect of conservatism is the belief in a free market economy, the corporations that do business within our borders don’t necessarily support that. What I have come to realize is that people seem to think that most of the corporations operating within the United States today are “American” corporations and that they are entitled to have a job there for as long as they live. This isn’t the case at all. Most corporations today are international entities. They never were “American”. The source of the money that funded these corporations was foreign to begin with mainly coming from central Europe. These corporations landed in America and will do business here until they find a more profitable way to do things. If they think they can generate more wealth moving a manufacturing base to China, then they will do so. There is no patriotism when it comes to corporations. Corporations only care about making money, and that’s it. They do not care about people or who they do business with, just as long as it makes them the maximum amount of wealth as possible. For example, if we were to go to war with Iran, you would find that if you followed the money, the weapons used on both sides would be traced to one corporation, or one money source. Big money will fund both sides of war, because that way, they are always guaranteed to profit. Is this ethical? Of course not. It’s downright diabolical. But it goes on and has been going on for centuries. In fact, wars have been purposely created just for this purpose. People have been sent to their deaths for no reason at all other than for some corporation to make an extra buck. And then that money makes its way back up to the source that funded the corporation to begin with: a bank.
America could be left empty tomorrow. If every corporation decided to leave and go to China to do business, we’d be left the way we were back in 1700. We’d have to find a way to start our own internal economy to generate wealth. What people also don’t realize is that our political system has been hijacked. Corporations love to have access to our national treasury. Our national treasury is the money that is granted in the form of contracts to corporations by our government to perform whatever work is proposed. This money is borrowed from a private institution known as the Federal Reserve. How does this money get paid back? Through our tax dollars. We the People of America have to pay back money that is lent out by Congress to corporations that know no borders. The members of Congress are generously rewarded by these corporations to do so. All at your expense of course.
The truth of the matter is that people have a false sense of entitlement. I’m not against the corporate world at all, but I am against what the corporate world has become. They are more interlocking than ever. One group sits on one board of a corporation, and then sits on one board of another, and another, and another. Because of this, salaries become less competitive because they are “fixed”. Since the corporations are interlocked, there really is no competition anymore. Therefore, the corporations won’t compete for workers. You will notice that no matter where you go, there is no huge difference in salary. Not only that, salaries have remained unchanged since the 90’s. So there is really no free market economy any longer. Your free market economy is just the freedom of possibly changing jobs just to do something different for the same pay. If you are lucky, there might be a bonus associated with your position. But those are dwindling as well.
The false sense of entitlement people have is they think that what is within our borders belongs to us. They think that having healthcare is a birthright. It’s not. People didn’t have health insurance in the 1800’s, so there isn’t any reason why you are more entitled to any more than what someone had back then. The true mark of conservatism is having a sound monetary policy with elected representatives that hold every decisions within the People’s best interest and not their own. This ensures a prosperous economy and a secure future for all Americans. Most people pay no attention at all to the real issues. I work with people that sit in their cubicles all day long and seem to think that money grows on trees when it comes to the corporate world. They think they are working for an American company. They are cattle that believe anything they are told as long as it was shown on a TV screen. And because of this, that’s half the reason why things are the way they are today. The only benefit I can see for corporations to leave our borders for cheaper labor is for the opportunity to create new homegrown businesses. But what is even worse than corporations picking up and leaving, is the hiring of cheap foreign labor within our borders. People have become completely clueless. Corporations are doing business on your soil that your family fought and died for, and they won’t even hire citizens. They will lobby Congress to bring in more H1B’s or hire illegal aliens to take your job from you. This has wiped out competition for workers, which in turn has reduced wages, which in turn has destroyed the free market economy within the United States.
In a nutshell, a lot of what goes on in our “free market economy” is not conservatism at all. It is the use of your soil and your national treasury to profit a handful of elites that live abroad. Having the proper elected officials in place would be the only way to stop this, but from the way things are, this might not ever happen. I believe to accomplish this would be to vote for those that you don’t see on TV. Anyone that appears on CNN or FoxNews is someone that you shouldn’t vote for. The elected officials that would be good for America wouldn’t be shown on these networks.
