I had gotten a nice corporate email today at work encouraging us to, once again, donate money to the China earthquake. But hey, what happened to the Myanmar Cyclone aid? I am a very giving person and like to give towards a good cause, but any more these days, I darn well know that giving anything to any charity that uses tragic events for profit will do nothing but stuff their pockets full of your donations. I prefer to give to causes where I can see what I gave truly went to help someone.
For instance, what it amounts to when you give to causes such as the Myanmar Cyclone charity scam, is they will use a tiny portion of the money to maybe pay a group of workers to provide free bottles of water that was bought from a corporation, and they might buy some supplies that was also bought from a corporation as well. They will also give some money to the corrupt government of that third world country of which will pocket every cent. They will not give anything to their own people. And then, the rest of the 75% of the donations they receive, they keep. They did the same thing with the September 11th deal as well. It was discovered that one charity pocketed $200+ million. They claimed that they were going to save it for the next national disaster. Yea, right. They kept every penny. But I’m sure at least some of it went to a few yachts or private jets maybe.
Not too long ago, going into work, they of course had the monthly charity show up with their buckets at the front doors for people to give. And of course all the mindless fools, or employees, got their wallets out to show how “giving” they are. I’ve been watching this same scenerio go on for years. This particular charity collects donations to pay for inner city trash lunch programs. Most of the money is kept for profit, while the rest goes to inner city kids that have a parent, or parents that won’t feed them. Seriously. These kids are all products of welfare, so they are suppose to be getting fed with food stamps, welfare checks, and free school lunches paid for by you the taxpayer. However, the parent, or parents of these kids choose to go buy drugs with their welfare checks and let you the taxpayer and charity donator feed their kid. Even animals will feed their offspring, but these parents won’t. So basically, you are just giving to a cause that was created out of welfare and illegal drug smuggling. Giving to these charities is pointless and only feeds the problem. Stop giving to worthless causes so you can “feel good” about yourself or so you can show another fellow employee how “kind” you are. The best way to give is to find something that you would like to support, and then go personally give that money directly to the cause. Or better yet, go volunteer your time.
Charities actually prey on a certain type of person. Aside from people of whom are just doing it for tax reasons, the types of people that donate are usually people with psychological problems. They are people that know they are rotten. It’s usually someone that has lived an immoral life and they want to try and prove something different. So they give to some chairty for some bogus reason such as an earthquake so that they can quietly “feel good” about themselves and prove to themselves that they are such a good person and that everyone is wrong about them. Because they gave to charity. I see this time and time again. They think giving to charity undoes all the immoral behavior in their lifetime. And then they continue to go on living like they did before using drugs and drinking alcohol. These types are a dime in a dozen and charities make a fortune off of them.
Just ask yourself this one question. If an earthquake hit tomorrow and your house was knocked down, do you think any money would come pouring in from India, China, or England so you could rebuild your home and restore what you lost? I kind of doubt it.
